Frequently Asked Questions

We will have an outdoor ceremony in Coldstream, BC. The reception will shortly follow at Lakers Clubhouse in Vernon, BC. Check out our Details page for the addresses of both locations.

We’re still ironing out all the details. We will let you know once we have everything figured out. 😀

Some of the envelopes that went out were addressed to only one person or just to a couple. But, as a simple rule, if you are from out of town (not from the Vernon or Kelowna area), then please feel free to bring partners, kids, and dates. We’ve already factored this into the tentative headcount, just be sure to let us know who’s coming and their names in the RSVP form. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly. Thanks!

Currently, it’s below freezing in Montreal, often hovering around -20C. When it warms up a bit in the spring, we plan to have our engagement photos. We’ll post them here as soon as we have them. Check back every so often! For now, check out our Our Story page for some photos of us throughout the years.

Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is a beautiful 30-minute drive to Vernon and Coldstream.

Rideshare services like Uber and Uride are available at the airport, as well as traditional car rental options like Enterprise and Budget, and non-traditional car rental options like Turo.

If you’re feeling really adventurous, there’s also the number 90 bus to Vernon that comes by every hour.

You can book a hotel or AirBNB in Vernon. Some options for hotels include Sandman Hotel, Best Western Pacific Inn, and the Holiday Inn Express. You may also choose to stay in Kelowna which is a bigger city with more options and more to do, and where some of our family also live. However, keep in mind that Kelowna is a 45 minute drive away from Vernon.

We will have a buffet at the reception. Please let us know in the RSVP form if you have any dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.

Semi-formal, cocktail, Sunday best, whatever makes you feel bonita!

In Vernon: Kalamalka Lake, Okanagan Lake (swim, paddleboard, hike, etc!)

In Kelowna: Downtown Kelowna (Okanagan Lake waterfront). Knox Mountain.

Other: Kangaroo Farm in Lake Country.

Our favourite restaurants in the area: Kelly O’Bryan’s (try the Pachos and McCracken rolls), Cactus Club Cafe (try their Butternut Squash Ravioli, it’s Nickole’s favourite), Station BBQ Smokehouse.

If you’re in Kelowna and in the mood for wings, try Brandt’s Creek Pub or Tonics Pub & Grill. If you want to try poutine, try Smoke’s Poutinerie, Station BBQ Smokehouse, or Costco does a decent poutine as well. If you’re in a rush, grab a Farmer’s Wrap and some Timbits from Tim Horton’s. We’re still working on this list, check back later for more suggestions.
